Hotstar’s IPL streaming is not going on exactly smoothly and audiences have many complaints on the platform.
In yesterday’s match, some of the vital moments of the game were cut out from the match highlights. For example, Rishabh Pant’s missed stumping and dropped catch were omitted out. And fans complain that there is some bad PR game going on that is causing this.
The social media outrage regarding the omission of vital match moments resulted in Jio Hotstar bringing those moments back to the highlights.
Users say that the highlights of Jio Hotstar are nowhere near SonyLIV’s. SonyLIV, according to fans, has the best highlight system and they cover the most significant moments of the match without leaving out any.
Jio Hotstar is a rather big platform and SonyLIV is nowhere near it in terms of scale. But still it has a lot to learn from them and if they want to continue with sports streaming smoothly in future, Hotstar should pay heed to what fans are wanting and do away with PR systems that take a toll on the overall quality of the experience.
They should learn it from @SonyLIV when it comes to highlights..
