The show is titled ‘Hafta Wasooli’ and has gathered good viewing on the platform too. But there are many who are calling for Munawar to be banned as the host.
After the cases against Samay Raina it is quite expected that there will be a similar public outrage against Munawar Faruqui who does a comedy of a similar vein.
The main points that people are picking up against Munawar are his ‘Hindu-phobic’ ideas in comedy. He has even been to jail for making comments that are so-called insulting to Hindu deities. But it has been a long time now and it is totally unexpected that people are still holding a grudge against him and are now wanting to boycott the Hotstar show.
