It has been a week since the OTT debut of Kalki and it has been a rather silent passage for the film as far as the social media reception is concerned.
Usually, when a superstar film arrives on OTT, it will be a trending topic on social media. For good or bad reasons, the scenes in the film will lead to a discussion in the social space.

Like for instance, Salaar, Animal, and Guntur Kaaram which are the superstar films to have arrived on OTT in recent months gained traction and led to discussions on social media.
But in the case of Kalki, the air surrounding the film is nothing but dead rubber. Neither are people heaping praises on Prabhas or director Nag Ashwin, nor are they criticizing the film.

Notably, the worst thing that can happen to a film like Kalki, which has a sequel in the making is the first part making zero noise on OTT. Good or bad, the film must have been making some sort of traction on the social platforms but that isn’t the case here.
Incidentally, the film has been streaming on both Netflix and Amazon Prime but the traction on social media hasn’t been as receptive.
