The Test, starring Nayanthara, Madhavan, and Siddharth in the lead roles and directed by S. Sashikanth, is all set to release directly on Netflix on April 4th.
Initially, the team planned for a theatrical release, but due to financial issues, the movie will now premiere directly on Netflix on April 4th in five languages: Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.

Two of the film’s lead actors, Siddharth and Nayanthara, are currently going through a rough phase, as their recent films have underperformed at the box office. Both are striving to deliver a successful film.
Meanwhile, the third lead, Madhavan, is making his return to Kollywood after a two-year gap, following multiple Hindi projects.

Netflix India has gained massive viewership with South Indian films like Dulquer Salman’s Lucky Bhaskar, Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran, and Balakrishna’s Daaku Maharaj. The Test marks their first original movie of the year.
It remains to be seen whether The Test will be a blockbuster success and help Siddharth and Nayanthara make a strong comeback on April 4th.
