Netflix Dhoom Dhaam Review

Amidst the Valentine’s Day spirit, Dhoom Dhaam, starring Yami Gautam Dhar and Prateek Gandi, was released today on Netflix.

With a title like ‘Dhoom Dhaam’, you know there’s going to be a wedding in the movie. And with a tagline like ‘Dulha. Dulhan. Danger’, you know there’s going to be a bit of adventure thrown in, too.

The film keeps things simple despite blending a comedy of errors with a modern love story.

Pratik Gandhi plays Veer Poddar, a macho Gujarati veterinarian, while Yami Gautam Dhar is Koyal Chaddha, a soft-spoken Punjabi girl.

They meet through a rishta and get married within two weeks. Veer showers likes on her Instagram posts, and she appreciates the attention. But their dreamy romance takes a chaotic turn when two intimidating men barge into their hotel room on their wedding night, demanding to know about “Charlie.”

What follows is a night-long chase, forcing Veer and Koyal to navigate obstacles, challenge gender norms, and reveal their true selves.

While Dhoom Dhaam isn’t spectacular, it’s not bad either.

Critics have called it the best release of the week, but that doesn’t necessarily make it a great film. The story is engaging enough to keep viewers entertained but the film doesn’t bring anything new to the table.

Audiences have found it to be a fun, lighthearted watch, perfect for those looking for a film without too much emotional depth.

Many have called it a decent one-time watch, making it an enjoyable way to pass the time. The humour isn’t groundbreaking but delivers a few good laughs.

While it doesn’t stand out as a must-watch, it’s still one of the better rom-coms released around Valentine’s Day.
