Directed by Priyanka Ghose and Nupur Asthana, the eight-episode, modern-day Indian royalty rom-com promises to offer a glimpse into the glitter, drama, and romance of royal life.

At the heart of the narrative is a once-prestigious royal family, rich in lineage but poor in wealth.

Their crumbling palace stands as a symbol of faded glory and empty coffers. Enter Sophia Shekhar, a determined and pragmatic businesswoman leading a major corporation.

She’s brought in to salvage the estate’s dwindling legacy, but little does she expect her path to be completely upended by Prince Aviraaj Singh, the spoiled and carefree heir who’s more interested in parties than palace matters.

As Sophia tries to implement her plans, sparks begin to fly between her sharp-edged efficiency and Aviraaj’s whimsical charm.

The clash that comes next seems to be quite exciting.

Audiences are excited, as The Royals promises a romantic escapade filled with unexpected twists, and crackling chemistry, with a touch of “will they or won’t they?”

It will be interesting to see whether this romance connects with viewers, especially since previous films in the genre haven’t exactly stayed memorable for the right reasons.
