Anime Leak

Netflix has been hit by one of the biggest ever anime leaks in history which has potentially jeopardized its upcoming release schedules and created a massive dent on revenue. Piracy has once again proved that it is the biggest debit enemy of the entertainment industry. A number of huge projects belonging to Netflix and Crunchyroll have been sacrificed in the leak.

Anime shows like Ranma ½ Reboot, Dan Da Dan and Terminator Zero are some of the upcoming projects which were targeted in this massive leak. Netflix has slated Terminator Zero to premiere on the 29th of August, 2024 but the pirated version of the anime is already streaming illegally.

The major leak took place on the 6th of August when illegal sites like BitTorrent and 4Chan started streaming the pirated content with blurred watermarks. The extent of the leak only increased with time as more and more anime shows became its target.

Piracy is still the thing that haunts the entertainment industry the most. We have made advancement in science but still have no solution about how to keep copyrighted material safe. This has caused a huge loss not just to the producers but also everyone involved in the process including artists.
