The Netflix survival drama series ‘Kaala Pani’ was renewed only a few says back and now it has been shelved because of budget cuts. This is a very bad news for Netflix and its users as Kaala Pani was an extremely well-executed show.

Netizens are speaking about how Netflix India is not working as well as Netflix Korea and it is only proving to be a liability over Netflix Global.
Netflix Korea has given some extraordinary titles over the years and most of them have had international success. Squid Game has also rumours of roping in David Fincher and Leonardo Di Caprio in coming seasons.

Meanwhile, Netflix India has not only failed to produce any such shows, it has disappointed Indian audiences with crappy original content like ‘Naadaniyan’ and ‘Jewel Thief’. And an actually good show is being shelved now.
Netflix India has the entire South Asian population to cater to and still it is bringing average disappointing shows like this. The platform will have to reconsider its content slate and think about what should be given more priority too. Otherwise it will be the start of the downfall of one of the most trusted OTT brands in India.
