After the first season of Mr. . and Mrs. Smith left the fate of Donald Glover and Maya Erskine’s characters in suspicion, fans were speculating whether they would see the duo again in the next installment.
(Spoiler Alert!) The season finale showcased the duo being pursued by assassins. The two of them ended up cornered and battered in an apartment with just one bullet. The final shot left us wondering whether they survived or not. Amidst the gunfire, there still might be hope. After everything, there still might be hope. The creators casually dropped a hint, as they got to know how the buzz around the unspecified deaths of the characters was rising. At the same time, everyone is too eager to make it official that they have been written off. On this, the creators replied, “We wrote a cliffhanger; we thought about it long and hard. It was one of the first things that we wrote. Why in the world would we ruin a cliffhanger based on a headline?”
Francesca Sloane clarifies, “Maya and Donald may be dead; they may not be dead,” leaving hopes for the fans. She even gave assurance that all the questions will be answered in season 2. Available on Amazon Prime, fans eagerly wait for S2 of Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
