In the last few years, Bollywood has produced many sports-based dramas. While some of them clicked at the box office, others failed to do well.
One of the recently released sports-drama is Mr and Mrs Mahi, starring Rajkumar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles.
The movie hit the screens on May 31st and was an average grosser at the box office. According to the trade reports, the film collected Rs. 51.95 crores in its lifetime theatrical run.
Now, Mr and Mrs Mahi is gearing up for the OTT release. It will premiere on Netflix tonight at midnight (July 26, 12 AM). Netflix India made an official announcement about the same and added the film to its ‘upcoming movies’ list.
Mr and Mrs Mahi portray the story of the couple, Mahendra (Rajkumar Rao) and Mahima (Janhvi Kapoor), who share a common interest in cricket. While Mahendra couldn’t fulfil his dream of becoming a cricketer, he decides to make his wife one after watching her play the game once.
People who missed watching the movie in theatres can watch it on OTT from midnight today. Mr and Mrs Mahi was directed by Sharan Sharma. Karan Johar, Zee Studios, Hiroo Yash Johar and Apoorva Mehta have bankrolled the film.
