Prime Video India is under heavy scrutiny, and this is not just about shows or movies.

In a digital era where audiences are paying to watch movies and series on OTT, OTT platforms should also co-operate with the fans.

It seems like Prime Video India is running after monetization so much that despite adding their six minutes ads per hour content, they are not even releasing good content for audiences and all the good movies are there for rent. It means paying extra money.

What started as a platform offering decent content for a fair price is now being accused of becoming greedy.
One subscriber on X said, “If Prime only wants to earn, they should just exit India”.

Many are even suggesting that Netflix and JioCinema, despite their flaws, are at least giving the audience legitimate content to watch.

The frustration among the fans hyped up when Prime Video stopped releasing its originals like “Mirzapur” and “Paatal Lok”.

In a content oriented and price sensitive market like India, Prime Video India’s choice might just backfired them. Because in India, content is everything, and the patience level of the audience is not limitless.
