Suzhal: The Vortex, the Tamil web series from Pushkar-Gayatri, left audiences on edge with its gripping first season.
Starring Kathir, Aishwarya Rajesh, Sriya Reddy, and R. Parthiban, the crime thriller’s intricate plot and small-town setting made it a big success on Amazon Prime Video. Naturally, expectations for Suzhal 2 were sky-high.

Now that Suzhal 2 is finally streaming, reactions are extremely mixed. While the show remains engaging, it falls below expectations.
The suspense keeps viewers hooked, but once the mystery unfolds, the finale stretches unnecessarily, making it draggy and less impactful, leaving with a not-so-fulfilling experience.

Sam CS’ background score, which captures the Ashtakaali festival’s essence, is decent but lacks the haunting intensity that could elevate the viewing experience.
While it works within the Tamil Nadu setting, it may not resonate as strongly with other language audiences.

Many expected something as powerful as Ajaneesh Loknath’s work in Kantara, but Sam CS delivers only a passable effort.
Following the Pushpa 2 controversy, where Sam CS claimed to have done 90% of the BGM but didn’t get any kind of recognition, Suzhal 2 was another big opportunity for him.
However, it seems like another misfire, with the soundtrack failing to leave a lasting impression.
While Suzhal 2 is still worth a watch for fans of the first season, it doesn’t quite hit the high notes expected.
