SonyLIV Users have taken it to social media to inquire about some recent calls they had received from ‘KBC’. They are concerned whether these are legitimate calls or just fake scam calls.
@SonyTV @SonyLIV @SonyLIVHelps Are you guys calling the probable participants for KBC? I've got a call wherein the speaker was instructing me to press a certain number for the preferred language for the conversation and all. Kindly lmk whether it was a genuine one or a hoax.

It is possible that these are genuine calls from the popular SonyLIV show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati?’ but the platform and the show need to show some clarification regarding the ‘call for selection’ process otherwise it looks very shady.
The users are confused and they are not sure how to respond, and so they have asked on social media about what is going on. There are multiple posts like that.
But the responses from the customer service of SonyLIV are not very satisfactory and clarifying. The KBC makers and SonyLIV both need to respond to these queries or the users will keep staying in the cloud of confusion and fall prey to any scam calls.
And the selection process too should be made clear by the platform so that there there is no doubt and uncertainty around it.
