Shahid Kapoor’s recent filmography hasn’t been quite happening and with Deva, his decent comeback was spoiled heavily.
The action entertainer Deva buzzed the internet with its early promos and teasers but was unable to capture the same vibe with the official trailer and song releases of the film.

Fans instantly got hooked on the film when Shahid Kapoor looked lethal in the teaser of the film but was bored after the official trailer of the film.
The makers claimed that the film was not a remake of Malayalam film Mumbai Police but with the early reviews of the film, it was proved that the film was officially a remake of the film but with a minor change in the ending.

The film opened to average reviews at the box office and with its underwhelming collections, it was declared a huge flop at the box office. While fans praised Shahid’s rocketing performance, the overall plot of the film felt replicated making it a boring watch for the viewers.
The Rosshan Andrews directorial is now set for its OTT release after collecting around 40 crores at the Indian box office.

The film is all set to digitally release on Netflix and with its official digital release, this might be a beneficial move by the makers to reach a wider audience.
While the film was not a box office success, there might be some luck for the film on Netflix as it caters to a wide audience and might get a positive reception from the viewers as it releases on March 28th.
