The series finale has been trending due to the pressure surrounding its ending. Director Shawn Levy addressed these expectations and assured viewers that the final episode delivers strongly on every aspect.
In an interview with Collider, Levy described the finale as a masterpiece and praised creators Matt and Ross Duffer for crafting an emotionally powerful and deeply satisfying conclusion. He said watching the final cut completely wrecked him.
Levy, who directed several episodes in earlier seasons, did not direct any part of Season 5 due to other commitments. However, he continues to support and champion the show’s vision.
