A new show on SonyLIV has now been announced. ‘The Waking Of A Nation’ will be premiering on the platform on March 7th this year. The series will be telling the story of the gruesome Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
But it looks like there is not much hype for the show. SonyLIV has always proven to be exceptional in its choice of original content and however much it might be trolled for ads and glitches, fans have always respected the platform’s wonderful stories.

That is why such low buzz for a show that looks good isore surprising. SonyLIV has given fans web series like ‘Scam 1992’, ‘Undekhi’, ‘Gullak’ and ‘Rocket Boys’. It has an extremely good track record.
And the trailer for ‘The Waking Of A Nation’ looks good too. For a low budget drama, it has good dialogues and visuals and the performances are good too.

SonyLIV has proved its mettle with historical shows with the likes of ‘Freedom at Midnight’ and ‘Rocket Boys’ and this will not be an exception. The platform needs to be more effortful towards promoting the show so that it reaches the appropriate audiences and gets the hype that it deserves.
