This Vicky Kaushal Film Made Surprise Entry At Prime Video

“The Great Indian Family,” a Vicky Kaushal movie, barely generated any buzz when it was released in theaters. Despite being labelled as a good comedy by the audience, this family entertainer failed to attract people and finished with a mere 8 crore run. The movie has now quietly arrived on Prime Video.

It is a lighthearted comedy in which Vicky Kaushal, playing Bhajan Kumar, the son of a Hindu priest, embarks on a pilgrimage only to later receive a letter revealing that he was born Muslim. His identity crisis within this religious irony is portrayed humorously. Despite being made with sincerity, the film falls short in certain aspects such as screenplay and crisp editing.

Movies of this genre used to be Ayushmann Khurrana’s forte in 2016-17 and used to perform well at the box office. However, after COVID, everything seems to have changed. People now flock to theaters only for high-budget event films, making it challenging for such movies to secure screens and audiences.
