Netflix India’s recent original content has largely been disappointing, with only The Railway Men standing out. However, the platform’s upcoming release, Wild Wild Punjab, looks promising.
Popular director Luv Ranjan, known for hits like Pyar Ka Punchnama, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, is producing a series for an OTT for the first time.
Wild Wild Punjab is set to premiere on Netflix on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. With a runtime of 1 hour and 49 minutes, the movie follows the story of four friends whose trip to a wedding turns into an unexpected adventure filled with mishaps and discoveries.
The recently released trailer has generated positive buzz and the digital audience is curious to know if the film is worth spending their time on.
Produced by Luv Films this is their first Netflix original film. Directed by Simarpreet Singh in his feature debut, the film’s screenplay is crafted by Harman Wadala and Sandeep Jain.
Let’s hope the film turns out to be a really wild and whacky ride and not a dull affair.
