SonyLIV had been the go-to place for WWE fans in India for quite some time now. But now that the show has come to Netflix, it brings about some new debates and controversies.
Most of the fans are happy with this shift as they think SonyLIV was not doing justice to the show and was interrupting it with ads and glitches and that WWE is now in better hands.
But on the other hand, there are some people who are claiming this shift will affect WWE negatively as there are not many people willing to pay the heavy subscription fees of Netflix.
Sony has a TV extension as well and there are people from rural India who are not exposed to Netflix but are familiar with SonyLIV. A few netizens say this argument does not make any sense and the show will continue to be a hit on Netflix.
Whether WWE will be accessible to rural India and whether people would not like to have a Netflix subscription for WWE are questions that will be answered soon. But still this debate seems to have created a social media Rift between the subscribers of two platforms.
