After Shaitaan, Ajay Devgn is returning to the horror genre once again. The official title of the film has been revealed as Suryasparsh, after early reports claimed that it was titled Griha Pravesh.
Latest updates have stated that Ajay will portray a supernatural character in the film. The role is inspired by the Garuda Puran, a book of Veda Vyasa, which is a Sanskrit text with a dialogue between Lord Vishnu and Garuda. Other details related to the character remain unknown.
The shooting for the film has already started on September 2, 2026, and is expected to last until November. The makers are aiming to bring it in the second half of 2027. Suryasparsh also marks another collaboration of Ajay with Kumar Mangat and Abhishek Pathak of Panorama Studios. Apart from them, Ajay Devgn Films is also associated with the project.
Suryasparsh is being directed by Rohit Jugraj and is expected to bring a new world in terms of horror for the audience. A tentative release date is yet to be announced by the makers along with the other cast members.
Ajay’s fans reacted to the news by saying that they are expecting to see their favorite actor play a different role this time instead of repeating the same looks and speaking dialogues in the same manner. They even requested the makers to ensure that they bring a new Ajay Devgn in front of the audience this time.
Some trade experts have already declared it a hit, pointing out the fact that the horror genre is the safest for the box office numbers in India today. On the other hand, some stated that the success will entirely depend on whether the storyline is unique or if it will follow the routine path of the horror films that audiences have already seen.
