After creating a lot of hype with his latest film Housefull 4, Akshay Kumar is in the news again! Since he has already delivered multiple films in the comedy genre, it’s speculated that the actor is trying to do something different again.
According to the latest reports, Akshay is in advanced talks with War and Pathaan director Siddharth Anand for a folklore-based horror drama.
Rumours suggest that the film is centered on a father-daughter relationship and promises a large-scale, VFX-heavy theatrical experience. If reports are to be believed, it will be directed by a debutant under Siddharth’s Marflix banner.
Akshay and Siddharth had earlier also discussed a vigilante action film with Milan Luthria, but with that shelved. Now, this horror project has reportedly taken precedence. Akshay is said to have loved the narration and shown keen interest, though he hasn’t officially signed on yet.
The film is expected to go on floors in early 2026 after Akshay wraps Welcome to the Jungle, Jolly LLB 3, and Priyadarshan’s Oppum remake.
However, a recent tweet by Siddharth Anand has left everyone baffled again. His caption was simple: ‘False.’ So, is he suggesting that no project is in the making with Akshay Kumar in it? Only time will tell.
Meanwhile, Housefull 5 is releasing this Friday. It is yet to be seen whether the audience loves the film, given that it is one of the most anticipated projects of Akshay which was supposed to revive his career with a good turnover.
