He is starring in a sci-fi action thriller titled Samuk, which is being produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah and directed by Kanishk Varma. This project brings Akshay and Vipul back together after twelve years. The shooting is planned to begin around August 2026.
As per early reports, the movie will feature an alien creature combined with a lot of suspense and survival elements. To make the project look world class, the makers have hired top Hollywood talent. Luke Tumber, who worked on Mission Impossible, is handling the stunt coordination. Oscar-nominated legend Alec Gillis will design the creature using real, practical effects instead of relying completely on computer graphics.
Even though Hollywood experts are on board, the film needs to stay grounded. It should not just copy standard sci-fi creature movies because Predator and Alien films are already quite popular with the audience in India. Copying them will feel like cheating the viewers.
