Producer Dil Raju has officially confirmed that both actors are part of the film. The project is backed by Sri Venkateswara Creations, making it a notable collaboration between Bollywood talent and a leading South Indian production house.

There has been speculation that the film is a remake of the Telugu movie Sankranthiki Vasthunam (2025). Dil Raju has clarified that it is not a direct remake, though the basic idea draws some inspiration from the Venkatesh starrer, with a largely original story and treatment.

Reports indicate that the film will feature two important female characters, with Vidya Balan playing one of the central roles. Details about the second female lead and the storyline are yet to be revealed, but the film is expected to balance humour and emotion, a space Anees Bazmee is known for.

Separately, producer Sirish of Sri Venkateswara Creations has confirmed future plans for the banner. These include upcoming projects with Salman Khan and Pawan Kalyan, reflecting the production house’s growing presence across film industries.
