Big production houses are gearing up to bring their much-awaited films to theatres. Some projects have already locked release dates. Others are waiting for the right window to ensure a smooth run at the box office.
Yash Raj Films has lined up several titles for release. Alpha is set to arrive in July this year. Ahaan Panday is making his debut in an action romance directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, with Aaishvary Thackeray playing the main villain.
The banner is also collaborating with Mohit Suri for another project. Krrish 4 is in the pipeline. A thriller drama featuring Ayushmann Khurrana is also being planned as part of their upcoming slate.
Dharma Productions is aiming for a strong comeback. Chand Mera Dil, starring Ananya Panday and Lakshya, has been announced and will release in May. Kartik Aaryan’s Naagzilla is currently on floors and targets a year-end release.
Raj Mehta is shifting to the action comedy genre with an untitled film. Tiger Shroff will play the villain. Lakshya and Janhvi Kapoor have been finalised as the lead pair for this project.
The production house is also developing three horror films. Karan Johar is preparing for his next directorial venture as well. These projects reflect a diverse lineup aimed at different audiences.
YouTube star Bhuvan Bam is set to debut on the big screen with Kuku Ki Kundali. A spy comedy featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan is also in progress, with shooting nearing completion.
T-Series is entering the race with multiple big projects. Spirit is scheduled for next year, and its first look has already created buzz. Dhamaal 4 is planned for a July release.
Pati Patni Aur Woh Do is set to release in May. Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 is expected to arrive in August. Prabhas-starrer Fauzi is also slated for release next year.
Anurag Basu’s romantic drama with Kartik Aaryan may release in the second half of this year. Allu Arjun’s next with Atlee is expected to begin production before the New Year.
Milap Zaveri is teaming up with Harshvardhan Rane for an action drama. Maddock Films is starting its lineup with Cocktail 2 in June, followed by several interesting projects.
Rajkummar Rao will be seen in a biographical drama titled Nikam, which has completed filming. Shraddha Kapoor’s Eetha is also expected to release soon.
The Horror Comedy Universe will expand with Shakti Shalini, which has already gone on floors. Abhay Varma will feature in the sci fi comedy Choomantar.
Vicky Kaushal’s Mahavatar is being mounted on a grand scale. Dimple Kapadia’s granddaughter will be launched in a commercial love story opposite Vedang Raina.
Excel Entertainment appears to be focusing on quality this time. Mirzapur: The Film is set for release in September, and expectations are high after its OTT success.
Sunny Deol is also working on an action thriller titled Antony. With such a strong lineup, the coming months promise an exciting phase for Bollywood at the box office.
