Border 2 Climax Too Dark: Will Damage Control Work Now?

Border 2 box office performance

Border 2 has achieved strong box office success, with Sunny Deol and the ensemble delivering an emotionally charged nationalist film. The movie collected 175 crore rupees in its first four days, setting an impressive benchmark.

However, a steady decline has been observed over the last two days. On Day 5, the film earned only 20 crore rupees, taking the total collection to 195 crore rupees, which was still considered respectable.

Current trade estimates suggest that daily collections may now drop below 15 crore rupees. This trend has raised concerns about the film’s long-term appeal at the theatres.

Fans have pointed out that the climax scene appears unusually dull during theatrical screenings. Many viewers believe the dark visuals reduce the emotional impact of the final moments.

The makers clarified that the climax is designed as an evening sequence and is not intended to look excessively dark. They have reportedly sent technical improvements to cineplexes to enhance the viewing experience.

Guidelines have also been shared with theatres to correct the lighting and projection issues. Despite these measures, it remains uncertain whether technical adjustments alone can help stabilise the film’s box office collections.
