Tiger Shroff hasn’t been having a good time at the box office post the Covid pandemic, as he has been delivering several underwhelming projects since then.
As he prepares to unleash his new look and avatar in Baaghi 4, his recent film from the franchise didn’t do very well at the cinemas.
Baaghi 3 opened with a lot of expectations but with poor reviews from top to bottom, the film went downhill. The film then suffered a lot due to the pandemic, which led to the shutdown of cinema halls.
Despite facing challenges due to the pandemic, the film earned around 110 crores domestically but got poor reviews from the audience due to a lacklustre story and performances.
The film’s director, Ahmed Khan, recently talked about the time when the film was released and how it was immediately stopped due to the lockdown.
He stated how the film’s trailer did well, and it opened to a great reception from the audience, crossing 95 crores in the first 6-7 days.
The director stated, “In those 6-7 days, we crossed Rs. 95 crores after which the cinemas shut. Otherwise, people were saying that Baaghi 3 could have crossed Rs. 240-250 crores.”
This prediction might be wrong as the film generated a lot of poor reviews and could have barely managed to cross the 150 crore mark.
However Baaghi 3 was instantly digitally released and had underwhelming reviews which might have been happened during its theatrical run as well.
Nevertheless Tiger Shroff is currently preparing for Baaghi 4 which is expected to release on September 5th and Ahmed Khan is optimistic regarding the project and also stated that the actor might make his much awaited comeback with Baaghi 4.
After having a string of flops, it remains to be seen if Tiger Shroff will be able to bounce back and return to the cinemas with a strong hit or not.
