The first single from Chhaava, titled Jaane Tu, is out now on different platforms. It is a melodious track with Arijit Singh’s voice, A.R. Rahman’s music, and Irshad Kamil’s lyrics.
There is no doubt that the trio has given their best to deliver a song that will be loved by the audience. But the track still falls short of certain things, specifically in the beginning. However, Arijit’s vocals eventually turn out to be the saving grace of the song.

Coming to the music, the tunes that we hear in the beginning do not suit the setting in which the film is set. The tunes in this portion sound very modern and A.R. Rahman should have focused on creating something that might have been common during the 17th century.
However, the traditional beats are finally heard as the song progresses, and here is where the track takes off and does not nose dive at any point. Furthermore, it features beautiful visuals that grab your attention until the end.

Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna have undoubtedly entered into the roles of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and Yesubai Bhonsale and it seems like you are looking at the real-life characters.
Although things are looking decent, the song still lacks the feeling that you get while listening to similar tracks such as Aayat from Bajirao Mastani or Laal Ishq from Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. Notably, both the songs were sung by Arijit Singh.

Jaane Tu might not turn out to be a memorable track like Arijit’s previous tracks. But for now, the film’s trailer has received a fantastic response, which might contribute to Chhaava’s success at the box office. The questions will be answered once the film arrives on February 14, 2025.
