The reviews for Kapil Sharma’s new movie Daadi Ki Shaadi are out and they are not very good. Even though it has big names like Neetu Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni the audience is just not interested. It looks like another failure for Kapil who is still finding it hard to deliver a hit film that feels different from his TV show.
Reputed media sites have written very negative things about the film. One site wrote that the movie stays on screen for too long and feels like an overextended skit. They also mentioned that the makers kept using the same reactions until the novelty wore thin. Another site called the treatment flat and said that the actors seemed like they were just waiting for their turn to talk instead of acting properly.
Most reviewers feel the story is very old fashioned and Kapil Sharma cannot act any differently than he does on his TV show. According to them the film tries too hard to be emotional but it never succeeds. There are some reviewers who called the film tolerable in parts but they feel the script might appeal to older people rather than youngsters.
The absence of good music makes the film boring and the pairing of Sadia Khateeb and Kapil Sharma does not look convincing at all. Neetu Kapoor’s acting is getting some praise but even she cannot save this dated film alone.
Overall the reception for Daadi Ki Shaadi is mixed to negative so trade experts believe it might not do well at the box office.
