Don 3 was in the headlines a few months ago after Ranveer Singh left the film, and the matter took a worse turn as the producers tried to take action. While things are quiet for now, a new update has grabbed a lot of attention on social media.
Actor Arjun Das, who is well-known for his work on films like Master and OG, recently claimed that he was approached for the film. A statement by Arjun is going viral, in which he said that he received a call from Farhan Akhtar, who asked him to portray the role of the film’s antagonist.
Arjun revealed that he and Farhan also met each other and had a discussion. However, he said that things are not happening for now as planned.
Arjun’s statement led to different reactions, with a majority asking Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani to revive Don 3. Most of them said that if things had progressed as planned, Arjun would have taken away the spotlight from Ranveer Singh in the planned sequel.
Netizens even recalled Arjun’s work in South films, saying that he has an amazing voice, which is expected to leave an impact on the Hindi masses. But people expressed disappointment with the fact that Don 3 has been shelved.
On the other hand, a new trend on Twitter is also creating headlines, where audiences asked the producers to bring back Don 3 with Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. This is something that led to a lot of debate in the beginning when Ranveer Singh was announced as the lead of the film.
Even when reports related to the filming or delays of Don 3 emerged, SRK’s fans requested the makers to cast the superstar as the lead instead of Ranveer, with most of them saying that only he fits the role perfectly.
SRK’s supporters are now asking the makers to somehow convince him to play the role and create a new script that will suit his stardom. They even asked the producers to cast Arjun Das as the villain since the face-off is something that will be loved by the audiences at the big screen.
While the requests of the cinema lovers are trending now, it remains to be seen how the producers are going to respond in the upcoming days.
