The box office often sees superstar clashes, but this time, two star kids will face off on the same date, making it an unusual event. Both films come with high expectations, and their performances will be closely watched by trade analysts and fans alike.
Sriram Raghavan’s upcoming film Ikkis, featuring Agastya Nanda, was earlier set for release on October 2, 2025. It has now been pushed to November 7, 2025, where it will clash with Ek Din, starring Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi.
An insider revealed that producer Dinesh Vijan made the change, believing the first week of November could bring better returns. October 2 already has two major releases, Kantara Chapter 1 and Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, both with big names attached.
With such competition, shifting Ikkis seems like a smart decision, as the film may otherwise have been overshadowed. Now, the focus will be on the direct clash between Junaid Khan and Agastya Nanda, making the outcome unpredictable.
The real test lies in the strength of the stories. While Sriram Raghavan is known for his unique filmmaking style, only audience reactions will decide if his magic works again. Much will depend on how engaging the films turn out to be.
Past records may play a role too. Junaid Khan’s Loveyapa did not perform well, while Agastya Nanda also struggled with his debut in The Archies. This clash could be a turning point for either of them.
If one film manages to connect strongly with audiences, it could turn the tide. Even if the opening is slow, both films may recover in the coming weeks, especially if made on controlled budgets.
With two months still to go, trade circles and fans are waiting to see if this clash will benefit theatres and give either of the star kids a much-needed breakthrough.
