While Hrithik Roshan’s fans are pushing him to announce Krrish 4, Karan Johar has now entered the superhero genre and is developing a new project. Latest reports have revealed that the story is inspired by the Hindu epic Mahabharata.
Notably, the movie will be based on Bheem, and Abhishek Varman has been approached to direct the film, which will be a superhero action drama. As of now, the title has been revealed as Gadadhari Bheem, and apart from directing, Abhishek will also write the movie.
The good news for now is that the script has been finalized and the casting process is expected to start soon. The movie will be made on a big budget, and it is going to be the first superhero film from Dharma Productions, focusing a lot on visuals and emotions.
A potential release date has not been announced. But trade experts believe that Karan Johar is taking the right direction this time after dealing with so many failures for a long time.
Netizens also noted that superhero-themed films work at the box office, specifically if a Hindu epic gets associated with the main subject. People even recalled the success of Hanu-Man and Mirai, saying that a similar approach should be taken by creating a story and screenplay that will connect with the audiences and entertain them at the same time.
On the other hand, choosing Abhishek as the director has led to mixed reactions online. Social media users stated that while his film 2 States was successful, the failure of Kalank cannot be ignored, since it was made with the same promises that are being made for the upcoming superhero film.
The majority were spotted asking Karan to choose a different director who can execute the story on a different level. Some even told Karan to keep the budget in control and recheck everything before bringing the promotional materials to avoid controversies.
Meanwhile, everyone is now interested to see who will get to play the lead role. The wait for the same might be a little longer than expected.
