Kesari 2 Raid 2 Box Office Predictions

Jaat is currently running in theatres, and five more films are scheduled to arrive in the upcoming weeks, with two of them releasing in May. While a few of them are supposed to do well at the box office, the fate of the remaining ones is questionable.

The first in the list is Akshay Kumar’s Kesari Chapter 2, which will be released on April 18. Based on the life of C Sankaran Nair, the trailer has been loved by the audience. However, since there is very little buzz, the film might take an opening of somewhere between Rs. 7 to 8 crores.

Akshay’s film will clash with The Bhootnii, a horror comedy, which has Sanjay Dutt, Sunny Singh, and Mouni Roy among the leads. People are hardly aware that this film is releasing in theatres.

But there is a possibility that history might repeat as happened at the time of Munjya in 2024. Everything depends on the film’s content, and for now, we can still predict a possible opening of Rs. 1 crore. In case the word-of-mouth is positive, the numbers might rise.

A week later, Emraan Hashmi’s Ground Zero will arrive in theatres. Although Emraan has been praised for his work over the years, the film is not supposed to take a big opening since the promos have not created enough excitement. However, it might record a figure of Rs. 75 lakhs on Day 1.

On May 1, there is Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2, a sequel to the hit film Raid, released back in 2018. With Riteish Deshmukh playing the antagonist, the film might attract crowds by the weekend if it takes an opening of between Rs. 14 to 15 crores.

The next is Bhool Chuk Maaf on May 25, featuring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi. It marks another entry from Maddock Films this year. However, it seems like the production company might have to struggle to earn some profits. It is still expected to take an opening of Rs. 3 to 4 crores.

The above-mentioned figures are just predictions. Let’s see if things go as per expectations.
