Ramayana, Varanasi Get 1000 Cr: So Why Not Krrish 4?

Hrithik Roshan as Krrish superhero

Hrithik Roshan’s directorial debut, Krrish 4, has reportedly been delayed due to budgeting disagreements between Hrithik and Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films. The project is now facing uncertainty as discussions continue over production costs.

According to reports, Hrithik Roshan is planning the film with a budget of around Rs 500 crore. Meanwhile, Aditya Chopra prefers to limit the budget to approximately Rs 350 crore to reduce financial risk.

This difference in approach has reportedly stalled progress on the film. With no agreement reached yet, Krrish 4 is currently in limbo and there is no clarity on when production will begin.

As reported by Bollywood Hungama, Hrithik believes the film needs large scale visuals, advanced VFX and major action sequences. He reportedly wants the superhero film to meet global cinematic standards.

On the other hand, Aditya Chopra and investors are said to be cautious after the performance of recent films like War 2 and Mardaani 3. They believe a controlled budget could help ensure safer box office returns.

Social media users have compared Krrish 4 with upcoming films like Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana and SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi. These projects are reportedly being made with budgets of Rs 2000 crore and Rs 1200 crore.

Some online users feel Hrithik’s budget expectations are reasonable for a superhero film. As a first time director, he reportedly wants to deliver a visually ambitious project with strong VFX quality.

Trade analysts also believe audience expectations have increased after announcements of large scale films. Viewers now expect higher production value and technical quality from major Bollywood projects.

Some users said the delay might help the team plan the film better. They believe taking more time could help Hrithik assemble the right team and production support for Krrish 4.

Online discussions have also compared Krrish 4 with Prabhas’ Adipurush and the Don 3 project linked to Ranveer Singh. These conversations highlight concerns about investor confidence in big budget films.

The situation reflects a larger issue in Bollywood, where producers often hesitate to take financial risks. The delay of Krrish 4 has disappointed fans who are waiting for the return of the popular superhero franchise.
