The trailer for James Gunn’s ‘Superman’ has been released and it has divided, very naturally, the fanbase of the superhero.

Some think it is a huge downgrade to go from the perfect Henry Cavill to David Corenswet. Meanwhile others think James Gunn has done a superb job in including the quintessentially ‘Superman’ elements in the movie.
For many fans, Henry Cavill has been the one and only Superman and no one will ever replace him. Gunn’s decision of casting a relatively smaller star and making the movie stylistically much different from Snyder is very risky indeed.

Many think that David Corenswet does not fit into the role at all and there are already many memes on social media.

One of them is a clip from Shahrukh Khan that is going viral. In Om Shanti Om, Shahrukh’s character does a movie where he plays a superhero named Mohabbat Man. He goes on ranting about how the underwear over the actual dress does not make any sense, alluding to Superman of course. His director says the underwear decides how big a superhero one is.
Gunn tries to go back to the classic Superman by refuting the creative changes that Snyder had done, one of them being getting the underwear removed.
