Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment (NGE) used to be a very successful banner, but things have changed a lot since the pandemic. Almost all of their recent big films have crashed at the box office. The only movie that did okay was Housefull 5, which just managed to recover its costs. Even then, it wasn’t the huge hit people expected from the franchise.

The main problem seems to be that Sajid Nadiadwala is getting too involved in the creative side. He even wrote the scripts for some of these movies. Many feel he should just stick to producing and stop interfering with the creative process.
Now, all eyes are on their new project starring Shahid Kapoor and directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. This movie had a lot of hype while it was being filmed, but that buzz went downhill as soon as the trailer and songs were released. To make matters worse, the runtime of O’ Romeo is reportedly 2 hours and 58 minutes. Such a long duration might bore the audience if the story fails to keep them intrigued.
The film is set to release this Friday and is expected to have a low opening of around 10 to 12 Cr. It will be interesting to see if it can grow with good word of mouth or if it will just be another flop for NGE.
