Gangster’s Daughter Threatens Shahid Kapoor’s Team?

O’Romeo film legal controversy

A legal notice has reportedly been sent to the makers of O’Romeo, creating controversy ahead of its planned release. The development has drawn attention just weeks before the film is scheduled to hit theatres.

Sanober Shaikh, daughter of late Hussain Ustara, has issued the notice to producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director Vishal Bhardwaj. She has raised objections over a possible negative portrayal of her father in the film.

As per reports, the notice seeks compensation of Rs. 2 crore to be paid within seven days. It also demands that the release of the film be stopped or cancelled until her concerns are properly addressed.

The complaint is based on fears that the film’s narrative may harm the reputation of Hussain Ustara. The notice claims such a portrayal could also affect the dignity of his family.

The makers have not officially stated that O’Romeo is based on any real person. However, speculation about the film’s inspiration has been circulating for quite some time.

These rumours intensified after the teaser released on January 10 mentioned that the story is inspired by real events. This led to assumptions linking the film to figures like Hussain Ustara and Sapna Didi.

So far, there has been no public response from Sajid Nadiadwala or Vishal Bhardwaj. It is unclear whether the team will respond legally or issue a clarification closer to release.

O’Romeo stars Shahid Kapoor in his fourth collaboration with Vishal Bhardwaj. The film is scheduled to release in cinemas on February 13. The impact of this legal notice on the film’s release remains uncertain.
