The buzz around Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War—starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal—just got more focused, especially after rumors about a Priyanka Chopra comeback gained traction online.
Many fans speculated that Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who last worked with Bhansali on the iconic number Ram Chahe Leela, might be returning to Bollywood with a grand item song in Love & War. Fuel was added to the fire when a clip of the song recently resurfaced on her social media, leading followers to believe it was a subtle teaser.
However, industry insiders have denied these claims. According to a source quoted by Bollywood Hungama, Priyanka and Bhansali have not been on great terms since their last collaboration. The fallout reportedly stems from Bhansali’s unfulfilled promise to cast her as the lead after Ram Leela, a commitment that never materialized.
While the idea of seeing Priyanka in a Bhansali film again excites Bollywood fans, it appears to be nothing more than wishful thinking—at least for now.
Currently, Priyanka Chopra is involved in SSMB29, directed by S.S. Rajamouli and starring Mahesh Babu. The big-budget pan-India film is being shot in Hyderabad and marks her return to Indian cinema on a different, possibly more ambitious scale.
