Akshay Kumar has started preparing for another film. This one is going to be an alien action thriller, titled Samuk. Akshay even shared an update through X on August 24, 2026, revealing that the shoot for the film has started.
The caption revealed the name of his character as Vivaan Ahuja. Moreover, it says that the movie is going to explore a new genre. Akshay added a video to the post, where he can be spotted in a black suit walking while wearing sunglasses at an unknown spot in the UK.
The movie marks the collaboration of Akshay and Vipul Amrutal Shah after a long time. Moreover, it is being directed by Kanishk Verma, known for his work on Sanak, Inside Edge 3, and more.
Akshay’s fans shared their excitement, saying that the movie can do some good business at the box office if the trailer is cut in an impressive manner and the budget is kept under control. Some even said that Akshay returning to the action genre is something that audiences have been missing for a long time.
Trade experts reacted and said that the alien genre has not been explored to a wide extent in India, compared to Hollywood. They said that with Akshay being a part of such a film, something new and unique can be expected.
