But one scene stood out the nude walk sequence. Recently, Vanga revealed how it came to be and why Ranbir Kapoor agreed to it without a second thought.

In a recent conversation with Komal Nahta, Vanga said he and Ranbir Kapoor had a deep understanding between them. The actor never questioned the director’s decisions.
Even when Vanga questioned himself, Ranbir Kapoor would tell him to stick to his guns. This trust was key to the film’s boldest scenes.

Initially, the plan was to use prosthetics for Ranbir Kapoor’s thighs and lower body. The test shoot looked great but on the actual shoot day it didn’t work.
Instead of fixing it, Vanga decided to shoot the scene out of focus making it spookier and more interesting.

For any actor, sudden changes especially in a sensitive scene can be frustrating. Hours had already gone into preparing the prosthetics.
But Ranbir Kapoor didn’t bat an eyelid. “He just said okay immediately. No discussion,” Vanga said.
The decision was made in a 10-minute conversation. It added to the film’s rawness.
Vanga believes such trust makes filmmaking more fun. The film may succeed or fail but conviction matters.
