In the last interview that has been reported widely regarding the comment of Sridevi on Jhanvi choosing the acting profession, she said she wasn’t happy about Jhanvi’s decision, and as a parent, she would be happier to see her married. There were negative comments from the netizens on this comment and Sridevi wrote a long clarification on the social media.
She wrote that her comment was misunderstood and she doesn’t mean that her daughters only need to get settled with marriage but want them to stand on their feet and have always told them not to depend on anyone. As Sridevi says, what she actually meant was that she would prefer her daughters to have a relaxed life rather than the hectic life that comes with the business. Well, she seems to be really concerned with the negativity on the social media and that is a good clarification.
