Sajid Nadiadwala’s son Subhaan is all set to make his big-screen debut soon and we have got the latest scoop about it. Titled Aisi Deewangi Dekhi Nahin Kahin, the film will be helmed by Shashank Khaitan, who is known for hits like Dhadak and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.
The production of the film is expected to begin in November this year under the Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment banner.
The title may have already made many nostalgic as it is a tribute to the song of the same name from the 1992 film Deewana, co-starring Shah Rukh Khan and Divya Bharti. If industry insiders are to be believed, the film is an intense modern-day love story.
Subhaan Nadiadwala is reportedly undergoing a year of acting and physical prep for the same. A fresh face may also be cast opposite him too!
A star kid entering Bollywood is not a new story but luck hasn’t worked well for many of Subhaan’s predecessors.
Let’s take the example of Ibrahim Ali Khan who made his debut with Nadaaniyan, co-starring Khushi Kapoor, another star kid. However, the duo was trolled for their lack of acting capabilities and emotions.
The same applies to the Archies squad, which included star kids like Suhana Khan and Agastya Nanda.
While Subhaan gears up for this debut, he should definitely take cues from others and make sure to prove his merit beyond the weight of his surname. In an industry where audience expectations are sky-high and social media verdicts are instant, it’s no longer enough to just have a big banner launch.
