A fresh update suggests that producer Firoz Nadiadwala has cast Tiger Shroff and Shanaya Kapoor for a zombie comedy. This movie will be directed by Ahmed Khan and is expected to start filming by the end of this year after the release of Welcome To The Jungle.
Both actors are currently going through a rough patch in their careers. Tiger Shroff has not had a clean hit in years and Shanaya is still waiting for a successful project since her debut. According to reports, this new project will be a big budget post-apocalyptic zombie movie with dark humor and it will feature heavy VFX and stunts.
Industry experts believe this is one of those projects that get announced but never actually happen. Producer Firoz is known for using such publicity stunts to attract investors and if Welcome 3 flops then this Tiger-Shanaya project will never be made. Also, Ahmed Khan as the director is another poor choice because he hasn’t made a single good film in his career.
A few years ago, he said he would start working on Awara Pagal Deewana 2 and Hera Pheri 3 after Welcome To The Jungle. It has been four years since then and there is no update on those films. He even claimed to be making Mahabharat with a 1000 crore budget, which turned out to be another fake claim.
Welcome To The Jungle has been in development for nearly four years and is still not complete. Since there is no confirmed release date for it, this Tiger and Shanaya project feels like nothing more than a false promise.
