The numbers are loud and clear: Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 (Hindi) has set a new benchmark with an opening weekend of ₹185 crore, followed closely by Shah Rukh Khan at ₹175 crore and Ranbir Kapoor at ₹168 crore.
These numbers not only show star power but also the changing dynamics of pan-India releases and the growing importance of Hindi market for South Indian stars.

Now the focus is on Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR with their upcoming film War 2. Hrithik already has a massive opening weekend record with War (2019) which collected ₹238.35 crore across all versions and his Hindi only opening weekend is among the highest for a Bollywood star.
Industry buzz and expert predictions suggest that War 2, releasing on Independence Day, is all set to break all records in the Hindi market.

The combination of Hrithik’s established fanbase and Jr NTR’s pan-India appeal especially after RRR has raised the expectations that their collaboration will set new benchmarks.
But surpassing the top three—Allu Arjun, Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor will not be easy. The Hindi version collections of these stars have been boosted by strong pre-release buzz and wide releases.
But with War 2’s solo release, high octane action and the Spy Universe factor, both Hrithik and NTR have a realistic chance of entering or even topping the top three in opening weekend Hindi collections.
The final result will depend on audience reception and the scale of the release but the stage is set for a blockbuster box office battle.
