The fourth movie in the Planet of the Apes reboot franchise ‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’ is all set to hit the big screens in May this year.
In the early predictions by tracking service Quorum, it is set to have a domestic opening of $54-61 million. Quorum predicts box office collection six weeks in advance.
The movie series has a collective box office collection of $1.6 billion for the reboot series that began in 2011 with Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’ is directed by Wes Ball and it stars Owen Teague, Freya Allan, Kevin Durand, Peter Macon and William H. Macy
It is set three centuries after the events of War for the Planet of the Apes. It will follow the journey of Noa, a chimpanzee and Mae, a human girl, to determine the future of humans.
It is set to release on 10 May.
