JanaSena chief and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has asked TDP and BJP leaders to give Jana Sena workers fair representation in the upcoming local body elections.
Recalling his political journey, Pawan said he had never asked for even a councillor or corporator post since entering electoral politics in 2014. He said his focus had always been on the country, Andhra Pradesh and the people who stood by him.
He said JanaSena workers and Veera Mahilas had worked for the party without expecting personal benefits. Pawan urged alliance leaders to give them the same respect and representation as TDP and BJP workers.
Pawan also recalled the support of Jana Sena workers during Chandrababu Naidu’s arrest in Rajahmundry in 2023. He said party workers and Veera Mahilas had taken to the streets during that period and stood by the alliance.
He said the 2024 elections were about the future of Andhra Pradesh, while the upcoming local body polls would focus on people’s local needs and future.
Pawan said all three alliance partners, TDP, Jana Sena and BJP, should grow together. He added that JanaSena had made significant sacrifices for the alliance and urged leaders to ensure that its workers receive fair representation in the local elections.
