Every person who loves to read dreams about the library of Bella and the moving ladder. This movie is one of Disney’s most unabashedly romantic movies, the concept of true love, and how love can alter a person is depicted so beautifully here. The heart and atmosphere inside the castle makes it more real, it feels like when Bella is sad the whole castle with her is sad. The movie was released in 1991.
3. “Aladdin”
“Ask for your last wish Aladdin”, “I want you to be free”. My oh my. The romance in Aladdin is extraordinary. The concept that I will save the love of my by hook or crook is portrayed here, as well as the friendship between Aladdin the monkey and Genie is remarkable. The story is drawn from the legend of Aladdin from the seminal text, One Thousand and One Nights. It was released in 1992.
4. “Mulan”
A brave and beautiful warrior, the film tells such a coming of age narrative that speaks to generations of children. Mulan is not a fairytale film, but it draws upon the Chinese legend of Hua Mulan. The movie taught the children about having faith in oneself and to be strong. The movie came out at the end of the Disney Renaissance era.
5. “The Little Mermaid”
A story about a mermaid wanting to become human and be with her beloved, the movie is a beautiful musical with very imaginative songs and lyrics. The concept of loving someone who doesn’t belong from your community, representing breaking the barriers, is beautifully depicted here. The movie was released in the year 1989.
