WB did have a golden year with successes like Barbie, but that only made them reach the third place in terms of becoming the most profitable studios. And at the start of the next year, this new alignment will definitely work as a statement for other studios as WB is back to the party.
Tom Cruise, the action icon, shakes hands with Warner Bros. as a part of a new strategic deal. This deal will include developing and producing future projects with Warner Bros.
The films will be a mix between original content as well as franchise expansion.
As a part of the deal, Cruise and his crew will get an office on the WB lot, as Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy will be cherishing the new partnership, as Cruise, even to this day, has the superstar pull to his name.
Now, the deal isn’t an exclusive one, as Cruise will have the freedom to work for other studios as well, but WB will definitely plan to produce some films that will match the grandeur of his other global blockbusters.
But obviously, this isn’t a new partnership between both parties, as Cruise did have some major success with previous WB projects, but this association might be one of the biggest deals that a studio pulled off with an actor.
