Tollywood has made a strong impression with 6 films achieving this milestone. Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram and Prabhas’ ambitious project Kalki 2898 AD stand out.

Other notable films include HanuMan, Tillu Square, NTR’s Devara, and Nani’s Saripodhaa Sanivaaram.

Kollywood Contributions

In Kollywood, 5 films have crossed the 100-crore threshold. Titles such as Aranmanai 4 and Maharaja have garnered attention.

The much-anticipated Indian 2 by Shankar, Dhanush’s Raayan, and Thalapathy Vijay’s The GOAT also contributed to Kollywood’s performance this year, though much more was expected from these biggies.

Mollywood’s Entries

Mollywood has seen 4 films gross over 100 crores. Titles like Manjummel Boys and The Goat Life have resonated with audiences, alongside Aavesham and Premalu, showcasing the unique storytelling styles of the Malayalam film industry.

In the Punjab film industry, Jatt And Juliet 3 has made the cut as the only film to gross over 100 crores.

Additionally, Hollywood films have also made their mark in India, with two movies—Deadpool And Wolverine and GodzillaxKong—crossing the 100 crore mark, indicating the strong influence of international cinema on Indian audiences.

The year 2024 has been significant for Indian cinema, with multiple industries contributing to the list of films grossing over 100 crores worldwide.

However, this year still has been a disappointment because except for Kalki 2898 AD and Stree 2, no film has been able to go near the 1000 crore mark like last year’s Pathaan, Jawan, and Animal.
