The violence that erupted after Kapu Gharjana in Tuni had costed 103 Crore. This is the loss incurred due to the damage to railway, police and other government properties. Only Ratnachal Express damage amounted to 20 Crore.

Daily 9000 people commute using this train and after this damage, they are facing severe problems. The Police have identified 250 people involved in this ruckus. As many as 50 cases were filed on them including Mudhragadda Padmanabham.
15 Police personnel were also injured. If not for the strategic restraint by police, the issue may have panned out in to potential caste rift and could cause law and order issue across the state.
