Hombale Films from the Kannada Film Industry shot up to fame with their maiden production venture KGF. The film acquired a cult status in Indian cinema, and the production house became one of repute and has been acclaimed for penetrating the pan-Indian market with its very first film.
This was followed up by KGF2, yet another huge hit in their kitty and Kantara that created nothing short of a sensation in India. Hombale Films created a brand for itself with these three films, and the audience is now looking forward to seeing what films they are going to produce next.
The production house is now venturing into other languages and is in the process of producing three films – Salaar in Telugu, Dhoomam in Malayalam, and Raghuthatha in Tamil. While Saalar has Prabhas playing the main protagonist, Dhoomam has Malayam’s acclaimed actor Fahadh Faasil in the lead. Their Tamil production Raghuthatha has Keerty Suresh in the lead role.
Salaar is being touted as the next huge pan-India film that will break all existing records. Dhoomam is an edge-of-the-seat thriller highlighting the many realities we take for granted. On the other hand, Raghuthatha is the story of self-discovery by a girl who wants to retain her land, her people, and her identity.
All three films are lined up for release in 2023. Hombale Films has emerged as a banner with good taste in films. By penetrating into newer markets, it is now expanding its base and also experimenting with different genres in keeping with the audiences’ sensibilities in various languages.
